The University at Buffalo is monitoring the COVID-19 (the disease caused by the novel coronavirus) situation carefully and is taking proactive and prudent measures to ensure the health and safety of the UB community, coordinating closely with the Erie County Department of Health, New York state health authorities and SUNY, as well as following the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We are planning for scenarios ranging from a full return to on-campus instruction, to continuing distance learning, to modified in-person instruction in a safe campus environment. The university’s overall goal is to deliver the best educational and research programs possible, while protecting the health and safety of the university community.
